ANALYSIS & FORECASTING
Use AI to quickly scan data including PDFs to receive immediate feedback and be able to ask questions or ask for suggestions.
HOW DOES ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WORK?
AI is a learning platform that uses experience to generate answers (hence 'machine learning'). This means the more information it has, the better answers will be. This is why AI is particularly good at generating documents because it has scanned thousands - perhaps millions - of similar documents online and knows what these documents look like.
What are the problems?
Try a simple puzzle with AI. One where we have three water jugs of different sizes, with the largest full of water, and we are asked to work out how to use the other jugs to reach a certain volume, usually taking a few steps. Now make the puzzle so easy we can do it in one step, for example, get 3L of water from a 6L jug where there is a 3L jug available. But AI won't give you an answer with only one step. It has never seen this puzzle done so quickly. All the examples AI has seen take four to five steps - so thats how many steps AI will produce when asked to solve the easy version of the puzzle.
AI doesn't think or reason and therefore needs to be monitored and checked. It can also be abused and has no concern for privacy, so policies and procedures for the use of AI are crucial when using it in your business.
